Hospital Affiliations

Deckerville Community Hospital participates in a number of networking organizations in an effort to improve the coordination and provision of care in the Thumb Area and the State of Michigan. Organizations include the Hospital Council for East Central Michigan, Mercy Hospital Physician Health Organization, Central and Eastern Michigan Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and the Thumb Rural Health Network.

Thumb Rural Health Network:

Site provides information on the purpose, current members, and supporters of the activity to include Deckerville Community Hospital. Information is provided on the TRHN behavioral risk assessment project that provides key information for planning and development of health programs.

Michigan Center for Rural Health:

Provides information on the Critical Access Hospital Program (CAH) in the State of Michigan. Deckerville has been a CAH facility since 2000. Of prime importance is information on the statewide quality project that has been established by the CAH facilities to evaluate care provide and support a system for ongoing improvement.

Cancer.org:

The American Cancer Society's national website (www.cancer.org) serves as a credible and reliable source of up-to-date cancer related information, breaking news, and upcoming American Cancer Society community events.

Deckerville Community Hospital is a Partner Member of the Sanilac County Kid’s Connection. The first comprehensive collaborative in the State of Michigan to solely focus on youth issues, the Kid’s Connection is a county-wide collaborative focused on coordinating and expanding programs, services, and support for all youth in Sanilac County.

An award-winning collaboration, the organization’s mission is “to improve the quality of family life by providing integrated services that nurture the children and families of our community.

Sanilac Area Violence Elimination (S.A.V.E.) Council

Everyone has the right to a violence-free, safe and healthy life. 

The S.A.V.E. Council strives to end violence in the lives of Sanilac County residents by providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and support groups.  The S.A.V.E. Council and its fundraising efforts helped found Eva’s Place, Sanilac County’s domestic violence / homeless shelter.  Eva’s Place has provided a safe haven for many women and their children through the years. 

Deckerville Community Hospital supports Eva’s Place in the form of education and referral.
