Our History

Deckerville Community Hospital's history goes back more than half a century to 1952 when Dr. E.W. Blanchard, M.D., and his wife built and opened an eleven bed hospital in Deckerville. The community purchased the building in 1961 and it became known as Deckerville Community Hospital.

As the needs of the area grew so did the hospital. Additional wings were built and services expanded to meet the changing trends of health care. Today there are off-site patient areas and many specialty clinics, while around the clock emergency and in-patient care continues as it has for over fifty years.
