Moving Forward: A DCH Laboratory Update The Laboratory has undergone many changes in the past few months. With a renewed focus on customer service, technology and future growth, it was time to look at new equipment. We started with replacement of the chemistry analyzers and decided the Dimension Expand from Dade Behring fit our criteria. The Dimension offers a test menu that allows us to perform all our chemistry testing on one analyzer, therefore improving efficiency. In addition, we are able to bring the send-out tests on site. By doing so, we will decrease turn around times Kathy Smith, MT(ASCP), went for a week of training in July and with help from the vendors, the Dimension Expand went live on August 3. We are streamlining our outpatient flow process with the goal of reduced patient wait times and increased patient satisfaction. |
