Radiology Equipment

The Radiology staff at Deckerville Community hospital takes pride in providing the very best in health care.

Our facility is staffed with highly qualified, board-certified radiologists and technologists utilizing state-of-the-art imaging equipment that can perform the following modalities:

Mammography

MammographyInstalled in November, more comfortable mammograms are available with the Lorad M-IV breast imaging equipment, the first available in the Thumb area.

The Lorad M-IV also offers enhanced comfort for patients through a special fully automated self-adjusting tilt paddle called the "Gentle Touch," which applies light pressure and automatic conforming to the natural contour of the breast, resulting in greater patient comfort. The new equipment also offers reduced x-ray exposure time, less motion, and exceptionally high quality, high-resolution images.

Laurie Fraink, Radiology Supervisor and Mammogram technician, is certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technology and has an advanced certification mammography. The hospital has received rave reviews from those whose exams have been performed using the new equipment.

Computerized Tomography

DCH's Spiral CT scanner provides the ability Computerized Tomographyto offer patients the most advanced diagnostic services available in the Sanilac Area. In addition, we've improved our scheduling for patient convenience.

Ultrasound

UltrasoundDCH has received a big plus with new ultrasound equipment. The equipment, which is digital ready, was connected to our teleradiology network, allowing images to be stored and sent to the radiologists like CT images. This makes the service even better than anticipated eliminating the need to wait for radiologists to read printed black and white films. In addition, the stored and forwarded images are in color.
