Visiting Hours

Visitors can be very valuable therapy towards hastening a patient's recovery, as long as they follow a few necessary rules recommended by our medical staff. Visits from friends and family are an important part of a patient's recovery. Visiting hours are berween 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. For security reasons, the building is locked after 8:00 p.m.

When family is not able to comply with the scheduled visitation hours, accommodations can be made with the nursing staff for special times. Parents may remain with children 24 hours a day if they so desire. Permission of a nurse in charge should be arranged prior to stay. Critical patients may have family stay 24 hours a day. Staying in the room will be determined by the patient's condition, physician's order, and/or accommodations available. At any time the registered nurse feels that the visit is disruptive to the patient's recuperation, the visitor may be asked to leave. Each visitor must follow any and all Deckerville Community Hospital policies/procedures and comply with any special conditions set forth by the registered nurse and/or any other officer of the institution.
